In July 2023, Econotherm® was purchased by Solex Thermal Science, a Canadian-based thermal energy and bulk materials specialist.

Econotherm is a Wales, UK-based company that designs and manufactures heat pipes and heat pipe exchangers for use in diverse areas of industrial waste heat recovery.

Owned and operated by Solex Thermal Science, we focus on difficult-to-recover heat such as hot and/or dirty exhausts. Since 2007, our company has delivered custom0built solutions – ranging in size from a few kilowatts to several megawatts – to blue chip clients in many industrial sectors around the globe.

Our leading-edge development of new heat pipe technology continues to put us at the forefront of the waste heat recovery business. We have received Green technology awards from Shell Oil and UK Carbon Trust. We are also involved in four Horizon 2020 EU-funded development projects and have completed two Innovate UK-funded projects. Additionally, Econotherm is active on two privately funded development projects in the silicon and marine sectors.

Econotherm and our installation partners are able to offer full turnkey solutions and supply products from our standard range. We can also customise to a set of bespoke requirements. All heat recovery products are made using our patented manufacturing process at our state of the art production facilities in Wales.
